Hi, I'm Dan...

After 21 Years in High Performance Swimming, I became a bit of a nutter about technique and speed work...

As swimmers we are crammed into lanes doing 'garbage miles', and aren't provided the personal feedback, or technical understanding we need to succeed. It means things can go downhill quickly. And I mean QUICKLY.

Throughout the prime of my career, I had one MINOR TECHNICAL FLAW that cost me 1.3 seconds in my 200m freestyle, even with elite coaching. This cost me teams, medals, prize money, my confidence and more.

The worst part? It was a simple technical fault which could have been easily fixed.

Despite dedicating my whole life to swimming, I wasn’t ever equipped with the technical understanding or awareness to fix it.

Fast forward in time after a lot of wasted time and resources, I was one of the lucky few that eventually realised. I built my technical focus, fixed the problem, and made it to the RIO Olympics. It was such a brutal BUT invaluable realisation.

That's why My Swim Tutor was born because I vowed, I would never let this happen to another swimmer again.
